Milling head workshop

MTE Milling head workshop: Everything inside. Everything on it. Everything from a single source. Our milling head service accompanies your MTE for the entire life of the machine

The machine stops because the Milling head / heads no longer wants to work. Regardless of whether it’s a defect, wear or other causes – in the tough day-to-day running of a machine, this can hardly be avoided in the long term. The decisive factor is how quickly you can return to productivity with your machine. And this is exactly where our milling head service comes into play. We operate a fully equipped Milling head workshop at our site in Montabaur/Westerwald. With technicians who are specially trained for Milling heads / heads. With our own test benches on which we can check your Milling head / heads and test them thoroughly after repair.

Adjusting the Milling head / heads

Currently in progress: a SFK-6000 milling head The swivel milling head is part of our MTE RT 2000 Bed type milling machine / machines, which is located at Uebelgönne Werkzeugbau in Hagen. We tested the head on our test bench, depressurized the hydraulic circuits, checked the tool clamping and measured the head geometry. We then completely dismantled it, cleaned it and replaced two swivel bearings and all seals. As a matter of routine, a detailed damage report is sent to the customer with a receipt log, list of defects and photos. Then approval, assembly, back to the test bench and back to the customer. All work is carried out here in-house, exclusively by our own technicians. Philipp Becker (pictured on the test bench) is one of them.
