The machine’s flexibility pays off both in the repair business and in spare parts production. “Restoring the shape and position, i.e. equalizing, manufacturing everything from normal covers to smaller cylinders, large connecting rods and, and, and – in the milling area, we can certainly machine the greatest variety of parts with the BT 3.200, both in cast iron and steel,” says Simon Prell from the production management team at NEUMAN & ESSER.

In mechanical production in Übach-Palenberg, NEUMAN & ESSER relies on the particularly flexible BT 3.200 Bed type milling machine / machines from MTE. Looking back, the production manager still does not see a point at which the machine has reached the limit of its processing capabilities.

Universally applicable – the BT 3.200 with rotary table

Due to the high level of vertical integration – from the M12 expansion bolt to the 6 m crankshaft, from the 12-ton cylinder to the 50-ton crankcase, everything is produced in-house – mechanical production must be particularly flexible when it comes to spare parts and repairs. With the rotary table, the company also has the option of producing a large number of components in a single clamping operation.”

For NEUMAN & ESSER, the solution package clearly also includes service, both during commissioning and after several years of operation. Overall, his company has come to appreciate the support provided by MTE over the past six years, summarizes Simon Prell. “Our own Milling head workshop at the Montabaur site, trained technicians, our own test bench, spare parts warehouse, rental heads with express service – the package simply has to be right.
