What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected to ensure that the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to obtain information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given your consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time with future effect. If corresponding consent has been requested, processing will take place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's end device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. Our host will only process your data to the extent necessary to fulfil its performance obligations and will comply with our instructions regarding this data. The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

When you use this website, various pieces of personal data are collected. Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

If you assert a legitimate request for erasure or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. tax or commercial law retention periods); in the latter case, the data will be deleted once these reasons no longer apply.

Information on data transfer to the USA and other third countries

We use tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries that are not secure under data protection law. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We would like to point out that these countries cannot guarantee a level of data protection comparable to that of the EU. For example, US companies are obliged to disclose personal data to security authorities without you, as the data subject, being able to take legal action against this. It cannot therefore be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. secret services) may process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke your consent at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

IF DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 PAR. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS DATA PROTECTION DECLARATION. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA, UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING IS NECESSARY FOR THE ESTABLISHING, EXERCISING OR DEFENDING OF LEGAL CLAIMS. WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OR IF THE PROCESSING IS NECESSARY FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING AT ANY TIME; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING, INSOFAR AS IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged violation. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract transferred to yourself or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the website operator, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

Information, deletion and correction

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to obtain information free of charge at any time about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing and, if necessary, a right to correct or delete this data. You can contact us at any time if you have any questions about this or other issues relating to personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we will usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its deletion. 21(1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data – apart from its storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

Cookies

Our websites use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser. These enable us or you to use certain services provided by the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services). Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping basket function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behaviour or to display advertising.

Cookies that are necessary for the electronic communication process, for the provision of certain functions you have requested (e.g. for the shopping basket function) or for the optimisation of the website (e.g. cookies for measuring the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and similar recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG); consent can be revoked at any time.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. This website uses Usercentrics consent technology to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies on your device or to the use of certain technologies and to document this in accordance with data protection regulations. The provider of this technology is Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Straße 7, 80331 Munich, website:
https://usercentrics.com/de/ (hereinafter referred to as "Usercentrics").

When you enter our website, the following personal data is transferred to Usercentrics:

  • Your consent(s) or the revocation of your consent(s)
  • Your IP address
  • Information about your browser
  • Information about your device
  • Time of your visit to the website

Furthermore, Usercentrics stores a cookie in your browser in order to be able to assign the consents you have given or their revocation to you. The data collected in this way is stored until you request us to delete it, delete the Usercentrics cookie yourself or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory legal storage obligations remain unaffected. The use of Usercentrics is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of certain technologies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided that your request is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Enquiries by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry, including all personal data arising from it (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your enquiry.

The data you send us via contact enquiries will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Communication via WhatsApp

We use the instant messaging service WhatsApp, among other things, to communicate with our customers and other third parties. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Communication takes place via end-to-end encryption (peer-to-peer), which prevents WhatsApp or other third parties from accessing the content of the communication. However, WhatsApp has access to metadata generated during the communication process (e.g. sender, recipient and time). We would also like to point out that WhatsApp, according to its own statement, shares personal data of its users with its parent company Meta, which is based in the USA. Further details on data processing can be found in WhatsApp's privacy policy at: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/#privacy-policy.

The use of WhatsApp is based on our legitimate interest in communicating with customers, interested parties and other business and contractual partners as quickly and effectively as possible (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If consent has been requested, data processing will only take place on the basis of this consent; this consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

The communication content exchanged between and on WhatsApp remains with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

We have concluded a contract for order processing (AVV) with the above-mentioned provider.

Facebook plugins (Like & Share button)

Plugins from the social network Facebook are integrated into this website. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the data collected is also transferred to the United States and other third countries.

You can recognise Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the "Like" button on this website. An overview of Facebook plugins can be found here:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/?locale=de_DE.

When you visit this website, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited this website with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook "Like" button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of this website to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to this website with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of these pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or its use by Facebook. For more information, please refer to Facebook's privacy policy at:
https://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation

If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to this website with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

The use of Facebook plugins is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the widest possible visibility on social media. If consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's end device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Insofar as personal data is collected on our website with the help of the tool described here and forwarded to Facebook, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). Joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of data and its transfer to Facebook. The processing by Facebook after the transfer is not part of the joint responsibility. The obligations incumbent upon us jointly have been set out in a joint processing agreement. The wording of the agreement can be found at:
https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum

According to this agreement, we are responsible for providing data protection information when using the Facebook tool and for implementing the tool on our website in a manner that complies with data protection laws. Facebook is responsible for the data security of Facebook products. You can assert your rights as a data subject (e.g. requests for information) regarding the data processed by Facebook directly with Facebook. If you assert your rights as a data subject with us, we are obliged to forward them to Facebook.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/EU_data_transfer_addendum, https://de-de.facebook.com/help/566994660333381 und

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, store cookies or perform independent analyses. It is used solely to manage and deliver the tools integrated via it. However, Google Tag Manager does collect your IP address, which may be transferred to Google's parent company in the United States.

The use of Google Tag Manager is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the quick and uncomplicated integration and management of various tools on its website. If consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyse the behaviour of website visitors. In doing so, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of stay, operating systems used and the origin of the user. This data is aggregated into a user ID and assigned to the respective end device of the website visitor.

Furthermore, we can use Google Analytics to record your mouse and scroll movements and clicks, among other things. Google Analytics also uses various modelling approaches to supplement the data sets collected and uses machine learning technologies in data analysis.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable user recognition for the purpose of analysing user behaviour (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here:
https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Browser plugin

You can prevent Google from collecting and processing your data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please refer to Google's privacy policy:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics

This website uses the "demographic characteristics" feature of Google Analytics to display relevant advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. This allows reports to be generated containing information about the age, gender and interests of website visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can disable this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section "Objection to data collection".

Order processing

We have concluded a contract with Google for order processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Google Ads

The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising programme provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on user data available to Google (e.g. location data and interests) (target group targeting). As the website operator, we can evaluate this data quantitatively, for example by analysing which search terms led to the display of our advertisements and how many advertisements led to corresponding clicks.

The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here:
https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks and
https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

Google Remarketing

This website uses the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Remarketing analyses your user behaviour on our website (e.g. clicks on certain products) in order to classify you into specific advertising target groups and then display appropriate advertising messages to you when you visit other online offers (remarketing or retargeting).

Furthermore, the advertising target groups created with Google Remarketing can be linked to Google's cross-device functions. This allows interest-based, personalised advertising messages that have been tailored to you based on your previous usage and surfing behaviour on one device (e.g. mobile phone) to also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g. tablet or PC).

If you have a Google account, you can opt out of personalised advertising at the following link: link:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Your consent can be revoked at any time.

Further information and the privacy policy can be found in Google's privacy policy at:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.

Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With the help of Google Conversion Tracking, Google and we can recognise whether the user has performed certain actions. For example, we can evaluate which buttons on our website are clicked how often and which products are viewed or purchased particularly frequently. This information is used to compile conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our ads and what actions they took. We do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify the user. Google itself uses cookies or similar recognition technologies for identification purposes. The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

For more information about Google Conversion Tracking, please refer to Google's privacy policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require your email address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data will not be collected or will only be collected on a voluntary basis. We use newsletter service providers, which are described below, to process the newsletter.

Mailchimp

This website uses the services of Mailchimp to send newsletters. The provider is Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

Mailchimp is a service that can be used to organise and analyse the sending of newsletters, among other things. If you enter data for the purpose of receiving the newsletter (e.g. your email address), this data will be stored on Mailchimp's servers in the USA.

Mailchimp enables us to analyse our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent by Mailchimp, a file contained in the email (known as a web beacon) connects to Mailchimp's servers in the USA. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked on. Technical information is also collected (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient. It is used exclusively for statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.

If you do not want Mailchimp to analyse your data, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a link for this purpose in every newsletter message.

Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide us with for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission.
Details can be found here:
https://mailchimp.com/eu-us-data-transfer-statement/ and
https://mailchimp.com/legal/data-processing-addendum/#Annex_C_-_Standard_Contractual_Clauses.

After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist if necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interests and our interests in complying with the legal requirements for sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

For more details, please refer to Mailchimp's privacy policy at:
https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.

Order processing

We have concluded a contract for order processing (AVV) with the above-mentioned provider. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that the provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

YouTube with enhanced data protection

This website incorporates videos from YouTube. The operator of the site is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they view the video. However, the extended data protection mode does not necessarily prevent data from being passed on to YouTube partners. YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you view a video.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to associate your surfing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, YouTube may store various cookies on your device or use similar recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting) after a video has been started. This allows YouTube to obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to compile video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent fraud.

After starting a YouTube video, further data processing operations may be triggered over which we have no influence.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offer. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Google Web Fonts (local hosting)

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. The Google fonts are installed locally. No connection to Google servers is established.

Further information about Google Web Fonts can be found at
https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy:

Google Maps

This site uses the Google Maps map service. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. If Google Maps is activated, Google may use Google Web Fonts for the purpose of uniform font presentation. When you access Google Maps, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.

The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings and to make it easy to find the locations we have indicated on our website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If consent has been requested, processing is based exclusively on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time.

Data transfers to the USA are based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission.

Data processing

We use online conference tools, among other things, to communicate with our customers. The specific tools we use are listed below. If you communicate with us via video or audio conference over the Internet, your personal data will be collected and processed by us and the provider of the respective conference tool.

The conference tools collect all data that you provide/use to use the tools (e-mail address and/or your telephone number). The conference tools also process the duration of the conference, the start and end (time) of participation in the conference, the number of participants and other "contextual information" related to the communication process (metadata).

Furthermore, the tool provider processes all technical data required for the online communication. This includes, in particular, IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or loudspeaker, and the type of connection.

If content is exchanged, uploaded or otherwise made available within the tool, it will also be stored on the tool provider's servers. Such content includes, in particular, cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards and other information shared during the use of the service.

Please note that we do not have full control over the data processing operations of the tools used. Our options are largely determined by the company policy of the respective provider. For further information on data processing by the conference tools, please refer to the privacy policies of the respective tools, which we have listed below this text.

Purpose and legal basis

The conference tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). Furthermore, the tools are used to generally simplify and speed up communication with us or our company (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If consent has been requested, the relevant tools will be used on the basis of this consent; consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

Storage period

The data collected directly by us via the video and conference tools will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for which it was stored no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory legal retention periods remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data stored by the operators of the conference tools for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the conference tools directly. For details, please contact the operators of the conference tools directly.

Microsoft Teams

We use Microsoft Teams. The provider is Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA. Details on data processing can be found in the Microsoft Teams privacy policy:
https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement.

Order processing

We have concluded a contract for order processing (AVV) with the above-mentioned provider. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that they only process the personal data of our website visitors in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

Our social media presence

Data processing by social networks

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The social networks we use are listed below.

Social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. can usually analyse your user behaviour in detail when you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. like buttons or advertising banners). Visiting our social media sites triggers numerous data processing operations that are relevant to data protection. In detail:

If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. However, your personal data may also be collected if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data is collected, for example, via cookies stored on your device or by recording your IP address.

With the help of the data collected in this way, the operators of social media portals can create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. This allows interest-based advertising to be displayed to you both within and outside the respective social media presence. If you have an account with the respective social network, interest-based advertising may be displayed on all devices on which you are logged in or have been logged in.

Please also note that we cannot track all processing operations on social media portals. Depending on the provider, further processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. Details can be found in the terms of use and privacy policies of the respective social media portals.

Legal basis

Our social media presence is intended to ensure the most comprehensive possible presence on the Internet. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which must be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Responsible party and assertion of rights

When you visit one of our social media sites (e.g. Facebook), we are jointly responsible with the operator of the social media platform for the data processing operations triggered during this visit. You can assert your rights (information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and complaint) both against us and against the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. against Facebook).

Please note that despite our joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have complete control over the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are largely determined by the company policy of the respective provider.

Storage period

The data collected directly by us via our social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request us to do so, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data stored by social network operators for their own purposes. For details, please contact the social network operators directly (e.g. in their privacy policy, see below).
